DOWA group, established back in 1884 as a mining company, owns integrated smelting facilities in Kosaka. This makes DMMA competitive in the market, ensuring top-level customer satisfaction.
DOWA Group started as a mine and a smelting plant of black ore in 1884. Unlike copper and other types of ore, black ore contains a rich variety of valuable metals. These valuable metals would be useless and even harmful without the proper extraction method. Dowa successfully developed this unique technique, making it a global one-of-the-kind smelter for processing complex ores.

Our sales team is experienced with rich knowledge ranging from catalytic converters, the process of sampling and assaying, to smelting and refining the metal.
Sampling and assaying are conducted at our new plant in Pottstown, PA – NPGM USA, Inc. The plant contains three sampling lines which are capable of processing 1,000,000 lbs of total material every month. This facility is a true embodiment of our know-how and expertise.
The first step of catalytic converter recycling is to remove the iron shell and extract the ceramic material (honeycomb) inside. This is where you will find the precious metals Platinum, Palladium and Rhodium. We are happy to de-can for those who don''t want to do this step themselves.
The second and most important step is sampling. The material needs to be milled and mixed thoroughly to create a homogeneous material before the sample is taken. The sampling method itself has a huge impact on the representation – we have a professional in this area to ensure the quality of our work.

DMMA enforces our Due Diligence process with a site visit from our Chief Compliance Officer. This is a very important part of our Know Your Customer (KYC) protocol. Depending on your operation, the site visit will be scheduled every 12, 16, or 18 months. DMMA expects our clients to follow the same code of conduct in relation to KYC protocols.
