The Ivoclar Group has opened its own company car park at its headquarters in Schaan. It has 13 floors with around 970 available parking spaces. There are 30 charging stations for electric vehicles. Additionally, solar panels have been built on the building''s roof.
According to a press release from the Ivoclar Group, the global dental company opened its own company car park at its headquarters in Schaan on June 5. The new building provides around 970 parking spaces across 13 floors. Thirty of these places will be equipped for electric vehicle charging points in a first step. Ivoclar explains that up to 400 charging stations can be installed as needed.
Lukas Sprenger, Director Facility Management Liechtenstein and project lead for the car park, commented: “In mid-June, we are holding a large Ivoclar Family Day to celebrate 100 years of company history with our employees and their families. We are extremely proud that we have been able to complete the car park on time despite a tight schedule.”
Construction of the car park frees up a gravel car park in Schaan’s industrial area for use, which had been used by the group previously. Ivoclar has installed solar panels on the roof of the car park building. This will mean that the company’s headquarters have solar power systems with a total surface area of 3,850 square meters. The 630 megawatt-hours of energy generated per year will prevent emissions amounting to 250 metric tons of CO2.
Markus Heinz, CEO of the Ivoclar Group, commented: “Our aim is to offer employees an integral, attractive, and sustainable mobility concept.” To do so, the company promotes the use of public transport, carpools, and cycling. Heinz adds: “However, anyone who cannot do without their car or does not want to has the option of a weatherproof parking space at our new car park.”
