This single 48V battery will replace a set of 6V, 8V, or 12V batteries in a 48V cart. This battery is suitable for most carts with a max speed of less than 27 mph and a motor controller rated under 240 Amps. If your motor controller is rated 240 Amps or higher, you may need two of these 48V batteries in parallel (some dune buggies, off-road carts, ATVs, and high speed carts fall into this category).

I replaced 4-12 volt with this 48V96AH, I can''t believe the difference it made and the distance I get with my cart. I use my Club Car for hunting, I have knobby tires on the rear and with the loss of approximately 280lbs of battery weight my cart can really climb hills !!! I realize the battery is expensive but with wet cell batteries only lasting 3-5 years I thought I would give it a try and I love it!!!
The 48v Dakota battery is functioning as expected in my 2017 Clubcar President. Installation is not a simple drop- in. The battery compartment is partitioned and the center divider has to be dealt with, as the Dakota spans both halves of the compartment. ( not a deal breaker) Then terminal studs are a bit short, connecting the cart wires and the leads for the charger wires is almost not enough threads. Performance has been excellent so far. — F Stoltz
Everything was going just great and I was elated with my Dakota battery until this week when my charger didn''t charge. Fortunately, my installer, Dave M., replaced the defective charger within 30 MINUTES of my call. WHAT INCREDIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I hope to give a 5 star review next time.
Love these batteries. I replaced 8 6V AGM batteries with a total weight of 960lb with 3 of the 48V Dakota batteries at under 300lbs total. What a difference removing all that weigh has in my sailboat!! That’s right, these power a 10KW electric motor in my 36′ sailboat. (as well as the house circuitry through a 48-12v step down converter) Better performance and a lot less weight… winner winner !!
