To help save cash and carbon, we''re offering a £50 bill credit if you sign up to one of our EV tariffs during November. All our EV tariffs give you cheaper off-peak electricity from 12am-5am, backed by 100% zero carbon electricity(2).

With fixed-priced energy tariffs, or plans, you pay a set unit price over the lifetime of your contract with us. This enables you to budget better and gives you peace of mind because the energy unit price doesn''t change when energy prices increase, saving you some money when our standard prices do increase.

A variable tariff, or plan, means the unit cost can fluctuate at any time (changes every 3 months), provided they remain less than or equal to Ofgem''s price cap. This is good if you''re happy to pay a different amount each month and prefer not to be on a fixed tariff contract.

The energy regulator, Ofgem, reviews and sets the maximum rates we can charge for gas and electricity on our variable tariffs. This is the energy price cap. The cap is reviewed every three months in January, April, July and October.

Prices shown are based on Ofgem typical consumption. ''Typical'' yearly consumption is 2,700kWh electricity and 11,500kWh gas based on a national average of regional prices for a dual fuel customer with a standard electricity meter who pays by Direct Debit.

More details about how EDF are Britain''s biggest generator of zero carbon electricity can be found here. Our fixed home energy tariffs are backed yearly by 100% zero carbon nuclear electricity as standard. The UK fuel mix disclosure information published by the government (DESNZ) recognises electricity generated from wind, solar and nuclear produces zero carbon dioxide emissions at the point of generation. The zero-carbon electricity purchased is supplied to the National Grid. Customers receive electricity via the National Grid, not directly from zero-carbon generators.
