The Environmental Projects Management Agency under the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Lithuania (APVA) has launched funding opportunities to support businesses and organizations choosing renewable energy solutions. The applications for the financial grant are now open and will last until December 31, 2020.
Private companies and public institutions are invited tosubmit an applicationto receive financial support for a solar power plant installation. The total amount of funds allocated for this call is 10 million euros.
Eligible applicants for the grant are owners or managers of public, industrial buildings or other private legal entities, aiming to install a solar PV system on other kinds of engineered structures. There are no specific requirements with regards to the size of the company or its activities.
The funding is available for solar PV systems of any size and capacity. Successful applicants are eligible to receive funding for installation of rooftop solar systems, ground-mounted PV power systems or solar energy acquisition from remote solar power plants.
The successful applicants will receive financial support to cover up to 30 per cent of all eligible costs of the project. The maximum grant amount per applicant is 200,000 euros; however, it is limited by the environmental efficiency criteria: the amount of funding may not exceed EUR 0.15 per kilogram of CO 2 equivalent reduced by the project.
The applications are open from October 1, 2020, and will be assessed on a rolling basis up until the fund will be distributed among all successful applicants. The applications will be no longer accepted after 31 December, 12:00 PM, 2020.
The following documents must be provided together with the application: 1) technical project of the equipment planned to be installed during the project; 2) technical connection rules; 3) permission to develop the energy generating capacities; 4) decision taken by the relevant governing body of the applicant; 5) supporting documents for funding sources.
